Thank you everyone for participating in our Kanex XD giveaway with MacNN! It was very successful and we look forward to having more giveaways for our loyal followers (hint: look out for more giveaways in the near future).

We always value the feedback from our customers,
and we believe that Kanex customers are some of the brightest there are. Recently, a customer had a positive
review for the Kanex XD when he used it with his Apple LED cinema Display (24"). He wrote:
"The product worked great on the 24" Apple
Cinema Display. I just bought it at Micro Center here in Dallas and it is
outstanding!!"
You heard it straight from the customer, the XD and
the Apple LED Cinema Display 24" work great together. All you need is a system that can output a resolution of exactly
1900x1200 and an HDMI port. Many
PCs nowadays have graphics cards that have HDMI output and can reach resolutions
of 1900x1200. Combine your PC with
your Kanex XD and your Apple LED Cinema Display and you are all set to display
your desktop, movies, and games on Apple's beautiful 24" LED Cinema
Display.
We are always pleased to know that our customers
are satisfied using our products and we thank you for choosing Kanex.
Sometimes
companies place important information in hard to find places and when you do
find it, usually it's an incomprehensible jumble of numbers and symbols.
It
can sometimes be difficult finding important numbers such as serial or model numbers
on your electronic devices. They are hidden away somewhere or often times there
are a multitude of numbers and symbols that can be difficult to decipher. Have
no fear! This guide will help you find the information you are looking for.
This
information is very helpful in getting support, determining your specific
model, and viewing whether your Mac product is compatible with certain
products. Kanex refers to your Mac Order number as it refers to specific
models of Mac products to determine whether or not it is compatible with our
Kanex products. Now you have an easy way to locating your Apple
information.
First
we need to make sense of all the information. The following examples are
taken from a MacBook Pro "Core i5" 2.4 GHz purchased around Mid-2010.

About
this Mac
You
can find your serial number under the battery of your MacBook or MacBook Pro; however,
there is a much easier way to acess this. You can find your Serial Number
by clicking the Apple menu at the top left of your screen and clicking
"About This Mac". Under the Mac OS X line there is a Version
10.X.X text field in gray. Click this to access your Serial Number.

More
Info...
Or
you could click on the More Info button and it will bring an additional menu
where you can view your serial number and Model Name and Identifier.

Packaging
You
can also find the part number, model number, and serial number on the packaging
of your Apple product as shown below:

Use this information
with Kanex support or anywhere your Mac information is needed.
Thanks and see you
soon!
